Dr Victoir is Post-Doctoral Fellow conducting extensive research on Russia and Eastern Europe in the European Studies Programme. She joined the University of Hong Kong in 2007.

Profile:
Dr Victoir holds a DPhil in History and a MPhil in Russian and Eastern European Studies from Oxford University. She graduated from Brown University with a BA in International Relations (Political Economy and Development). Dr Victoir has taught courses on 19th century Russian and European history in the Department of History before joining the European Studies Programme in 2009. Her research interests are: political and cultural history (especially in relation to Russia and France), as well as the history of architectural preservation in Europe. Dr Victoir speaks Russian and French.
